Like it or not, we must adopt socialism across the board or soon die. All people, created equal, and all companies, should pay an income percentage tax which is an equal BURDEN to each one. No exemptions or deductions allowed except when an entity's income is so low that the set percentage would harm the health of them or their family. Notice I did not say communism. They are very, very different but the administration fails to acknowledge it. Countries where socialism is deeply ingrained in their government have a generally very happy, healthy, and content populous. They pay a lot of tax, and in return they get free healthcare, education, great infustructure, retirements benefits and age care, etc. They have few worries about the stuff over which we are always at each others throats. The key is everyone pays an equal BURDEN of taxes - Yes, even the billionaires. Northern Europe is a great example.
AI will accelerate the obsolescence of humans. But 'Bots' will not drive the economy. They do not live in houses, they don't go to the supermarket, they don't need clothes, and one Bot will maintain other Bots.

I looked up a house by MLS# in MA; AI gave me a house in New Mexico-same MLS # shown! (They are numbered by area) Does anyone remember the movie Odyssey 2000? The computer Hal? It decided to take over-no more commands!
The strain of a.i. on the power grid is already so big they want to restart one of 3 mile islands nuclear reactors. Back in the 80s someone told me what would be necessary to get computers to run n video, I had no idea what computers would do for the porn industry. An Important warning I feared would eventually materialize. I was involved with expert systems in the early days of using these ideas. I was appalled that those taking training would not share names or who they worked for. It was clear a monetary outcome was desired. I thought expert systems might be a good way to share my expertise with a free program to improve management. That turned out to be a pipe dream because there was inadequate information upon which to verify complex outcomes. However it enabled me to be a better instructor because of having a better understanding about decision making. I reached out to experienced talent with passion. They could be guided in making decision very quickly without any shortcuts. To me it reflects the importance of working from the bottom up to have a basic understanding about all the variability that occurs on this globe. I have watched the growth of greed since WWII. It was the start of the dismantling of rural communities post war that continued with what is now breakneck speed with a conman for a so called President and loyalist like Thiel and far too many like him who use their wealth and power for evil purposes. Bringing these points to the surface is critical with the decline of ethical reporting. Than you!

I'm amazed at the improvement in search engines via AI. Make no mistake, AI capabilities will be misused to essentially brainwash the population in ways to achieve a common outcome: Make the very rich very much richer. Possibly the worst thing to happen to our society in modern times is the death of local newspapers, with actual human reporting. I live in a city of a million and our newspaper is reduced to an unaffordable, on-line only news letter operated by 3 people rather than it's previous 500. These three really just regurgitate a collection of on-line AI stuff.

Even with multiple loops, corrections won't be inevitable! They might be even traced to cyber bots. Sounds like an endless loop, but more sofisticated!

Although some AI (especially generative AI) is currently overhyped and overvalued, that doesn't diminish its strategic importance. Just as the automobiles, internal combustion engine and railroads took away the purposeful work of horses, the AI Bots are aimed at making the purpose of people obsolete. Wouldn't it be prudent to prepare for an economy based on no sales as there would be no customers able to buy anything?
The real problem that I see and no one is talking about is that AI Bots do not pay into Social Security or Medicare. Any company that replaces a human with a bot should be dunned for the person who would have paid into the two systems. That's only fair; the company still makes money, and it keeps the two systems alive for future generations.

The businesses promoting AI to save money through job elimination better be careful what they wish for.
The more people that lose a means of income, the fewer customers these businesses will have to sustain them. Obsolescence works both ways.
