Georgia (with 2 newly elected Democrats on the Public Service Commission) is actually leaning more into clean energy than ever! Businesses realized that it is cheaper and better for business - yay! Thank you, Jim, for the uplift from Texas. Yes, Virginia, there is hope for our future. Keep the faith, and keep on pushin'!
Who knew enlightenment has supporters in Texas? Please continue to make your presence and preferences known -- we are counting on you! I have to admit I simply do not understand why anyone would be against reliance on energy sources that do not heat the planet. I know the answer has to do with money, but I still don't truly understand how it is that the appeal of that point of view exceeds the appeal of maintaining an environment that continues to sustain human life. It's as if rich people believe they are invincible.
They probably do believe that they are invincible, because they live in a safe bubble and do not suffer like the rest of us. Maybe that would change if (more likely when) they realize that more money can be made from clean energy than from the old-fashioned, expensive fossil fuel extraction. Money talks to them, more than concern for our planet. Sigh.
Mid south Electric Coop is installing a new Solar Field west of HUNTSVILLE. Someone said they would rather see cattle on that CB land. I reminded the speaker that that land was worth $10. Per Annum for grazing rights.
Trumps son & son-in-law want to erect a data center (AI?) in Texas (All that empty land!) But the electric cost can be overwhelming-but they hit the gold mine A company that owns the wind farm (or part of it) in the Texas panhandle have sold the wind farm to them So much for the Texas grid! The only electricity for the state during a previous big freeze.
It's about time! Passive solar building design is also very effective for reducing heating and cooling expenses and becoming less dependent on the grid and fossil fuels. Winter storms are real eye openers as to what can happen when water temperatures fluctuate so widely and the winds are moving all forms of precipitation around. I had my first shocking electrical outage experience on November 9, 1965 when Niagara Falls, NY failed after a big snow storm. Now the snow has begun to fall and l am feeding the fire in my wood burning heat stove having learned from that experience.
Tyrant Trump appealed to the oil companies for his election campaign funding...and they delivered. Now his quid pro quo must be repaid....at the taxpayer's expense.Trumpolini doesn't have an ounce of integrity in his overstuffed body. And his post election mantra is,now that I've been elected,I can do whatever I want. The constitutional oath is for suckers.

Excellent point! The answer is to make clean energy SO popular that it will generate higher profits for the investors. What a world. :-)
We are farmers in rural MN and just got a solar panel for our farm. Not all rural farmers are brain washed. Keep up the good fight!
Keep sayin' it. You are important. Teddy Cancun went to Laguna Beach. Too cold in TX.

Well if there's something TX has in spades, it's 🌞 and wind.
Do we have global warming or geoengineering?
