"If You Accept a Corporate Check, Written on the Back of It Is A Corporate Agenda."
Hightower joined longtime friends Ralph Nader and Steve Skrovan on their show this week
As we join in the calls for an Day of Economic Blackout today, we felt like the conversation Hightower had this week on the
would be a great companion for your day without buying anything from the big corporate chains who’ve bought our politics. He joins the conversation at 26 minutes in, but we’re sure you’ll enjoy the whole show. Be sure to subscribe to the Radio Hour while you’re at it!PS— Happy belated birthday, Ralph!
I listened to the whole program. Usually I just read transcripts since it's much faster. But hearing means picking up inflections and emotional color. And of course listening to you, Jim, is to hear the truth articulated in a delightful Texas populist accent.
What the others had to say is totally worth hearing as well.
Thank you all you veteran fighters who keep on fighting for the common good.
Hi Jim, I am sorry to see you associate yourself with that loathsome man Ralph Nader. If he had not had the conceit to run for president in 2000 (his slogan was that there was no difference between Bush and Gore), Gore would have won Florida and the presidency, the US would have had a climate change program by 2021, and who knows what other good things would have happened.
