Trump is an alarming symptom of terminal economic pox, not the cause.

How many elected Dems refused corporate and 1%er sponsorship? How many opposed this econopathy that defines away devastation of human communities and ecosystems as irrelevant externalities? How many noticed the Biden Dept. of State was run by Cheney trained neocons--believers in a unipolar American econ empire backed up by endless wars? In the short term, there are still great opportunities for big profits in war.

The global billionaire class realizes there is a monstrous eco-crisis looming; that's why they're buying megayachts and private islands in temperate climates. They favor doing nothing about it since they're sure they can ride it out. They're used to buying everything they want, including entire governments. Lessers who survive can work as domestic help, guards, and serfs on their neo-feudal estates.

We must force some political party to represent the common good. Or not only will we be in the Big Muddy of more war, but we'll also be standing in multiple big muddies of flooded coastlines and surrounded by death.

Totally correct! Rafi, you must know that we are not paying attention. We really think we can change stations and all will be good. We are already giving up our country simply by being non educated. Some actually think this is cute….. being totally stupid. Now they can flip us all the finger as they run red lights.

I think my 97 year old mom is right--few want to see. My nieces and nephews when young used to blame us boomers for ruining the planet. Now they live in McMansions and drive SUVs. Sure, they're among the minority who can afford this lifestyle, but what's the impact on ecosystems?

As for the majority working class, their wages in terms of constant dollars have been stagnant for four decades while the price of everything rose exponentially. They're too tired from long commutes, too worried about being laid off, and too used to being ignored politically. They need whatever energy they have just to survive.

So , we all insist on strong Unions. No business without a union membership. No business that doesn’t pay taxes. No billionaires getting tax breaks or being subsidized by tax payers.

We have some very very qualified people in Congress who actually know how the government can and should work for the people who pay them. We have a Constitution that states crooks will be impeached. This is not rocket science. This is fact. Demand as a good citizen that we not be represented by the mob!

The Viet Cong didn't fire missiles at civilian targets in neighboring countries or on the high seas. There is good reason that the US and other nations are attacking the Houthis. (Though "good reason" does not guarantee success.)

Watching "Across the Universe" with Jim Sturgess and the Beatles. What good reason is there to dump on, poison and destroy our life supporting habitat to support imaginary numbers and the economic system structure thereof? Let's exit the paperwork purgatory with a plan to be ok, impeach the felon and protect and preserve our National Parks and Federal Lands -Not for Sale or Lease. Leave the fossil fuels in the ground !!

When are we going to realize we are being attacked from within our government. Billionaires have corrupted the GOP the Supreme Court, FOX has become a massive propaganda machine of lies and half truths. Describing the water our COUNTRY is drowning in isn't solving the problem. We need to identify Trump, GOP, SCOTUS, CHRISTOFASCIST, funded by DARK MONEY BILLIONAIRES as domestic terrorist. Anything less is capitulation, you might as well give them the keys to the country.

So, tRump announced today that the Houti's have contacted him (or his minions) and said they "don't want to fight anymore." Let's see how true that is, and how that plays out. The man has no idea how to run a business, much less a country, and his cabinet is a joke (though not a funny one).

There's a seemingly endless supply of inane and insane stupidity du jour proclamations out of the clown's mouth...the latest one being when asked if we should follow due process, the rule of law, the constitution, his reply was"I don't know." The stable genius, once again in fine form. We need to figure out post haste how to be rid of this...and it must include the project 2025 shadow fascists pulling his strings.

Question: Why do so many of POTUS's inner circle function like Russian assets? I am sure that friend and foe alike read all traffic on Signal. Is this a new wrinkle on transparency in government.

Whatever happened to common sense? Any war has very short term gains (for those who are far away from the war zone) and very long term devastating effects for everyone else. And why is it so much easier to classify people like the Houthis or the Palestinians as enemies and terrorists, than to learn more about them and try to understand their background? It says a lot more about the current climate in America than it does about those small nations. There is no good reason, ever, for a Western superpower to bomb any small nation, no matter what, just to show off how mighty we are. And don't forget: the Viet Cong were quick to call for Russia to come help them mop up what was left of South Vietnam. Feel free to disagree, but we think that war is hell, period.

I so appreciate your taking notice of Yemen. Exact example of bullying the little guy by the idiotic self named big fat guys. We had the very good fortune of visiting Yemen in 1990 and saw their magnificent architecture, now destroyed uselessly, plus quickly got to completely enjoy and treasure the generous and fun loving people. They welcomed us few Americans,

With beautiful henna drawings on our feet plus of course gat. They literally hosted us with open arms and great food. Their artistic abilities were everywhere.

It was obvious in a couple of days that the government was corrupt

And did nothing for these

Resilient people.

Why did the Saudis bomb them to dust and sadness? The Yemenis. had a very small adjoining oil field

Anger over that? Used American weapons snd planes against their poor neighbors for military practice?

Iran has been totally blamed for the rise of the rebelling Houthis, but is there proof? The rebels fighting abilities, feeling for Palestinians, strategizing against Western massive commercial ships, is certainly not in our favor but their ingenuity and survival skills should be recognized snd be helped to join our teams.
