If by "MAGAs" you're including the entire majority working class, some of whom voted for Trump, while many others have in effect been voting NO to both parties by not voting, you're WRONG.
The Ds went neolib decades ago. They did the WTO to make the world safe for multinational corporations that also destroyed jobs domestically. They dumped the New Deal, including financial regs, thus enabling the Wall St. frenzy resulting in the crash of "07-'08. The Ds bailed out Wall St. but the millions who lost jobs, pensions, homes got nothing. The Rust Belt, already hurting, became deaths of despair central. This isn't FDR's party; it's Chuck Schumer's. Who in 2016 said: "For every blue collar Democrat we lose in western PA we'll pick up two moderate Republicans in the suburbs in Philadelphia and you can repeat that for OH and IL and WI." If the reprehensible morals aren't troubling, then consider how it's a losing political strategy.
Three progressive labor friendly think tanks just released an in-depth study of political views in the Rust Belt states of PA, OH, MI, and WI. Neither immigration nor the so-called culture wars were important. The intense anger at the Dems is about D failure. Strong economic populism tested very well, especially if voiced by hypothetical independent candidates. The same ideas when attached to D candidates had a significant fall off. If you were among people ignored for 40 years how would you feel?!
Isn't it wonderful bigotry is considered by the far right Rs and educated Dems to be the issue? They have in common the belief we commoners are stupid. One courts us, the other blames us; neither ever mentions the horrifically inequitable econ system. Well, both parties have the same 1%er and corporate sponsors.
There seems to be a fantasy among the D faithful that if Trump were gone, everything would reset to beneficence. One definition of insanity is repeating the same behavior yet expecting different results. After 40 years, we the majority working class don't expect different results. Whose view of reality is more likely to be true?
We Democrats need to get the message out that the filthy rich that is billionaires who use cruel tricks to squeeze every buck possible out of the pay checks of honest workers. Half a billionaire would be enough to buy every toy in the store.
That's still a version of "vote for us; we're not them." Until the Ds get serious about New Deal type econ populism and repudiating the horrific neoclassical econ they enable, nothing will change. In other words, the Ds are at best corporate lite; at worst, also pro filthy rich. The D party, a private organization, has rules structured to curtail dissidents. Like most of the working class majority, I doubt they'll change. Even if they suddenly talk econ reform, after more than 40 years of the opposite we won't believe it unless we see committed dramatic action.
Just this morning, an old saying came into my brain. "Love of money is the root of all evil." Hmm. Might explain what is going on these days on planet Earth.
I think that it's about your credit rating and selling the future to the GOP at the top. The Grand Old Party is the Lord HRH come back to dump on us common people. They're about to find out about uncommon people when the house of cards falls.
I don’t need someone to do this because I don’t even have an income to afford this I live on $22,000 a year with a rent of $1444.00 each month. I’m 81 and I was getting $112 a month on Snap benefits and now those are going away until butthead puts the government back to work. I’m still hopeful though.
There are medical concierges. If you have one and your tummy hurts in the wee hours they will fly a specialist to you or maybe take you by heliocoptor to a big hospital. That sounds like a million dollars to me A million is one thousandth of a billion
How is it that the current U.S. Administration can close down the government, stop paying Federal Employees their salaries, prison workers, the US military, National Park Service, Food Stamps, etc. but Congressman get pay raises and take a paid vacation while we, the people, worry about having enough money to pay the electric bill etc. Obviously this administration has made the numerical, economic impacts of whoever has the most right to make money gets the job done. I heard that one wing of the White House is being torn off while Congress is on vacay. What do they think that their job is in Washington DC?
The poor MAGA's blame "illegals" not filthy rich for their poverty.

Too true, so sad
Not true. See my explanation above.
THAT'S rich.
Ain't that the truth!
It isn't. See my explanation above.
And I thought I had it made because I have an air compressor, a battery Charger, and two resident Buzzards
Lol
Too bad Pa and Ma Drumpf didn't have a concierge. One who was smart enough to throw Baby Donnie out with the bath water.
That's great! And I think the original family name was how you just spelled it. It fits "The Donald."
Most of us A)Have no need for the indicators of supreme wealth&B)Are too practical with our hard earned bucks to spend on these unnecessary luxuries.
However,it would make life better for our fellow Americans to have a fairer distribution of wealth.
I wouldn't want all of those people around me all the time
Just this morning, an old saying came into my brain. "Love of money is the root of all evil." Hmm. Might explain what is going on these days on planet Earth.
I think that just might be it!
What separates the merely rich from the super rich? At least 3 decimal places to the right.

That's how my late husband treated me on some level of reality but l didn't get paid. Watching "The Devil Wears Prada" with Meryl Streep
Well dang. Wonder if a Concierge would scoop out the litter box? Now that would be a service!

Some Federal Workers are not getting paid but are still going to work. A shout out to them!
If only this reality could be messaged to ever single voter. Maybe some of them would wake up to the danger these people are.
Wow! Now I know what I'm missing! A Concierge.

Having to do for oneself, and figuring out life in general, "makes the man" so to speak Too bad the money is wasted on the brainless.
