Sports is a business/ stop giving taxpayer ( ie working people’s ) money to these obscenely wealthy owners. Life will go on if the team moves to another city. Most regular people can’t afford to attend the games anyway. It’s such a scam.

This represents my point of view:Why should taxpayers subsidize a billionaire's venture?

Answer-They should not!

Wasn't this scheme similar to the one that made George W Bush his first millions on the backs of the taxpayers in Arlington Texas with the Texas Rangers?

San Diego had a similar problem with the Chargers. We said, "bye-bye" to them.

These goons are the most unattractive mammals on earth. It is a rather wonderful accomplishment to have “grown up”! There is nothing more beautiful than an adult man or woman who puts goodness ahead of greed.

Join the rest of us.... grow up, mature, do some introspection. We will all be here to give you a rewarding hug!

It’s called a true. Regulated, Democracy!

Yes, from Robert Reich to you and back ... it must be we the people who say no and forever sentence these infant terrible to their playpens.

My god I and I know “we” are sick to death of these immature baby brats running our country into the ground.

No insult to real babies. They are cute and needy and deserving of our care.

Cities can say NO. Let some other bunch of urban crackers pay for it! Just Say No! Profressional atheletics do not deserve $100 million contracts to play in a Taj Mahal to perform in paid by people who can't afford to buy tickets while the team owners wallow in Hundreds of Millions for doing absolutely NOTHING? I love the Green Bay Packers! Publicly owned; will build a new stadium when the current one collapses or is hit by a meteor. TAXPAYERS UNITE! ONLY TOGETHER CAN WE STOP THE MADNESS! If you give a damn....

Impoverishing a community for the sake of a basketball team is a travesty. Don't do it!

We are still hurting from this theft here in Seattle. The architect of it, when his own Ponzi scheme collapsed, drove his car into a freeway abutment.

Why should the taxpayers of Oklahoma City subsidize a wealthy club owner. If he wants a new fancy sports arena let him pay for it. The Kansas City Royals owner is currently looking for a new site, my question is how much will Kansas City and Jackson County taxpayers have to pony up for this new stadium. I'm totally fed up with subsidies for sports franchises.

It's interesting extortion. Since we live in a time of Lawyer's Welfare,I 'm sure his actions are well insulated by a raft of expensive counsel. Jim, it will be wonderful to see when the voters grow up,

run out of patience with the way this Country's governance population is ruining things and do something about it.

So who are you going to blame?

The miscreant with a weapon hiding in a dark alley with the lights out that the criminal broke which was where a few robberies occurred in the past month, or the oblivious upstanding citizen who thinks that the alley would be a great shortcut to take home?

Something here about fool me once then shame on….

Damn shame we no longer resort to tar & feathers and running out of town on a rail.

What benefit has the basketball team provided to Oklahoma City? Does the city get a cut of the gate receipts? A piece of the TV action?

Unlike buffalo (bison to purists) who give themselves to nurture a grateful Native community, this ungrateful cloven hoofed cabal takes, takes, takes.
