Jim, I seem to recall that Molly Ivins wrote some great stuff about shenanigans like this that keep happening in the Texas legislature. Boy, she would be all over this!!!!
I try pretty hard not to throw some snide label, but Governor Abbott(Asshat) is responding just about how I thought he would, threatening the Democrats in absentia with arrest. I guess I still have hope that we will exit from this fascist nightmare - through those ever-endangered entities called true democratic elections. It seems to me that the kool-aid drunk by the maga faithful is finally starting to turn bitter(I reference the video clip I saw tonight of Mike Flood's Nebraska town hall where his red constituents let him have it but good).
