When we asked you for your favorite political and protest music last month, y’all didn’t hold back! We loved your suggestions and have been slowly sorting through all of them (and singing along while we do).
For our first round of songs, we’re sharing by decade, and where else to start but with one of our two most popular decades? The 1960s, of course! Have a listen to the wide ranging tunes you’ve shared with us— and if you don’t see your suggestion below, it’s only because Spotify/YouTube didn’t have it in their catalog.
Future editions are forthcoming! We’re all set with the 1970s, but we’d love to hear more from the 1980s and 1990s, and also anything pre-1960. (We’ve got all the Woody Guthrie we can handle right now, though, haha.)
Enjoy this batch as you ease on into your weekend, and we look forward to hearing your ‘80s and ‘90s suggestions in the comments below.
