But who rushes to aid firefighters when so many of the burning buildings they enter are contaminated with chrysotile asbestos – a cancer-causing product so deadly that it’s banned in over 50 countries? So far, no one.
This is another piece of information that we have not heard about. Thanks, Jim, for keeping us posted and on track. Two responses come to mind: One, ask Biden to use the power of his office (executive order) to stop this criminal corporate gravy train. And two, NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER vote for Trump or any other corrupt candidate (Democrat or Republican) who is known to be on the payroll of Big Biz.
My father died 30 years ago from malignant mesothelioma, which is caused solely by asbestos. He was not a firefighter but an engineer who worked in electrical-power generating plants.

We, The People, need to wake up and root out the "government representatives" who are selling us out. We need to know who voted for or against every bill. Jim, Thanks for all your in-depth work. Why is it that the elite treats workers so poorly in this country. Yet, expects firefighters to save their property and them. We talk a good game. But our stats are awful. What is it going to take to change the direction of this country? We need to take the money out of politics and shorten elections to 6 weeks like normal countries have.
WOW! I thought asbestos was banned years ago! My father worked around it and I think it eventually killed him-lung or throat cancer. He worked in a Navel shipyard in Boston-during WWII

Let them take as long as they like, just make those who manufacture and sell it responsible for the medical bills of those who suffer from its use. I think they would stop very quickly.

Disappointing to hear Biden not demanding his two year deadline for the ban, but ending up agreeing to 12 years.
