The republicans CEOs moved all the manufacturing to China because they did not want to pay Americans $8 an hour. It started under Bill the Weasel Clinton- NAFTA and GATT. and , unlike Clinton or the Bushes , Trump has NOT ONE SHRED OF PATRIOTISM OR CONCERN FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. The Bushes were , if nothing else, smart enough not to kill the goose that lays the golden eggs. trump isn't. In fact, judging by his Cabinet picks , his INTENT is to destroy America. Either out of insane malice, or at the orders of his master, Putin.

I sincerely believe Donald is not looking to Putin. I really think he believes his ideas are good for the country, or at least for him and his cronies.

I don't think, he's even thought his ideas through. When he used tariffs against China in his first term, he had to bail the farmers out $3B for two years. And he's going to do it again. All he has to do is google tariff to find out who pays the bill. He has no concern about you and me

Well said, Jim! Let me add that even if the affected corporations relocate their factories back to “somewhere” in these United States, they can’t pay the same wages to Americans as they pay to Chinese workers. Then there’s the question of materials and supplies. Can America commission enough factories and acquire enough skilled workers to make these items? The truth is that once jobs were sent overseas the skills and production capacity were lost domestically forever.

I think the people who advise Drumpf are simply afraid to demonstrate the simple math of tariff imposition. Any tariffs result in an increase in costs which will be passed on to the consumer. That leads to inflation. If you think the price of eggs is high now, prepare to tighten your belts another notch or two.

Trump can't read and I doubt if he can actually do any math more advanced then 2 + 2 = 4.

Amen! And let's not start with the Oil and Gas Industry!! Will their owned/leased oil wells overseas have to pay a tariff to line whose pockets, Trump's, for instance? This whole tariff business is a scam to further impoverish the American Middle Class. American citizens, you haven't felt anything yet.

Wait till you feel the bite of increased prices for food, clothing and rents, due to tariffs designed to drive up prices for these necessities. With higher prices, people can either buy less or succumb to DEBT. Homegrown industries and start ups will collapse and have to lay off workers just to survive. But eventually they will be bankrupt, making the DEPRESSION even deeper.

Trump has always been the same. At least he has not made a secret of that, yet people still believed his lies and his promises and voted for him. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. Half of us knew that if he won, America lost. But remember that not all CEO's are vultures. Our job now is to stop focusing on the bad guys and step up to recognize and support the good guys, to look to the future, to salvage what we can of our democracy, and to rebuild when the pendulum swings back. It will, never fear. Think midterms, at which time a lot of folks will have figured out that they were fooled, and take action. Keep on trucking, Jim!

Excellent work, Jim. The incoming administration is going to be the most corrupt, dishonest and ignorant in our brief history. But, it could be worse. Everyone should read "The Distant Mirror" by Barbara Tuchman, in the book she details the ways and means of what is Trumpism as it existed in the Middle Ages. Not much has changed.

Good information. We need to keep the governments feet to the fire. Boycott these companies. Right now we are boycotting Kellogg's. Vote with our pocket books. We Americans are always looking for cheaper when in reality it ,Means more profits for corporations. Support those corporations generally small businesses that make goods here i America.
