Yes! May Walz prosper--rich in spirit, without millions in stocks and bonds.

I’ll take the riches of Walz over those slime balls! Walz is rich in his family, friends, and community! His smile is very welcoming and his heart is as good as gold!

Geez, I must be rich! I have been receiving fancy snail mail solicitations to apply for an American Express credit card with $650 annual fee! I think they mixed up my mailing address with Trump's or Vance's! I wonder if Walz is receiving them too? Probably not, and I really like that, plus his hilarious sense of humor - Will Rogers style.

Yeah. I get a ton of those. They keep telling me I can have a loan for up to 50k. I'm going 'Great! Do I have to pay it back?'

Trump has a lot of money but the Taj mahal casino made the largest personal bankruptcy in 2008 at over 400 million. He was bankrupting trump University while he was running for president in 2016 for over 300 million with over 350 lawsuits already because it was a collasal failure like taj mahal from the beginning. trump would be living in the gutter if it wasn't for courts making his debts be paid by the lenders who put up the capital in good faith. His recklessness was full speed in 2018 when he single handedly crashed the world economy with his tariff war and made a record single day stock market slide. Harley Davidson was looking to move to Mexico after 115 years when trump put tariffs on the European union though they had already stated they would accept a no tariff trade deal more than a year before. So far politicians with money have only made America better for politicians with money, time for change.

I have often wondered if Corporations figure how much more money they can control then not have to pay back into their profit margin projections

I'm 75 years old. I don't recall, from my younger days, that the opposition party was ever so *mean*. The childish name-calling and the lies are exhausting. No matter who Harris chose as a VP, the right wing would savage that person. I'm glad I'm not 25.

Daniel Warner, I don’t remember either that the name calling, threats, stupidity of candidate worshippers that are part of our national discourse.

I’m 81 and remember my beloved grandmother telling me who was a gentleman and which women could be called “Lady”. We need her wisdom today.

I'm with you there. Also 75 and I don't remember this much back-biting and name calling when I was following politics in high school.

Off subject. What happened to the notes transcribed at the Helsinki meeting between Trump and Putin in 2017 wherr Trump looked like a beaten dog and Putin smiling ear to ear? Purportedly placed in a government super lockup. Don't those notes belong in the National Archives? Who is hiding what?

That was after trump went to Vietnam early in his presidency and Putin showed up unannounced.

It is real easy to see who is the butch and who is the femme in that relationship.

Thank you Mr.Hightower,

Thank goodness for you! I learn everyday how to counter some of the crazy by reading and learning from your column.

It never surprises me at the drivel that the media allows. Such a shame that the owners are so dull and boring. Also, that they are so corrupt that lies fit right into their daily calorie count.

Isnt wonderful to have an American running for a major office that didnt attend an Ivy League or equally prominent university, enter their 20s with a silver spoon in their mouth and credit cards hanging out of every pocket, and still contributed to their community, to the betterment of others, raised a family, wasnt a proffessionaly politician, doesnt have a "brown nose", and was part of the American Dream. Shocking ... must be some mistake or a new cartoon storyline. Go Tim!

Thanks Jim for sharing this news with us.

It begs the question, How do you measure any politician's net worth? As in Whadah yah done for me lately?

confirming what I have known for years. The super rich are out of touch with the average American. Why would we trust them to manage our country?

Hightower tells it like it is. Trump and the Republicans tell it like we are deaf, blind and speechless "good Germans".
