The flip-flop on visas and the claim that the Panama Canal is "ours" both seem to come from The Elon who uses inexpensive foreign labor to help produce the Teslas that are manufactured in China and must be shipped through the canal which is "overcharging" users.

A skunk is still a skunk, no matter how rich he is. So what we have here is a prime pair of skunks, but they are not the only ones. As long as there are people who believe every word that comes out of their snouts, they will be able to pull off their dirty tricks. So, Jim, thanks again for spreading the word. Keep on truckin'!

I wonder how the MAGA true believers integrate the billionaire uses of immigrant labor with their fierce loyalty to these traffickers in human labor. ??

Expand full comment

They don't! It's not in their news silos. In addition, many MAGAs don't have a problem entertaining contradictory information - they don't see the connection, or they rationalize like crazy.

The Dem faithful also "rationalize like crazy." I have yet to hear one admit the party has been neolib since the late '70s. Neolib means for corporate economics, like defining away devastation of human communities and ecosystems as irrelevant externalities. The D party has done nothing about the mass layoffs 1996-2021 affecting 30 million workers, mostly to finance stock buybacks benefitting only CEOs and banksters. Then add how the Biden Dept of State was run by neocons (Blinken, Nuland, et al.) trained by Dick Cheney. That's why he endorsed Harris. Neocons are for a unipolar world (read: U.S. empire) and they are willing to push the many endless wars it takes to preserve their fantasy. And no, of course these bads do not mean Trump & MAGA good.

Altogether too true. The neo-liberal actions have damaged not only our workers but damaged our relations with the world. When with the Democratic Party come to terms with the lies. No. This does not make Trump and MAGA look good.

Seems like the Biden administration didnt spend near enough time explaining immigration policy. Allowing maga to lie endlessly.

The problem is trust. The Ds did FOR the unemployed, suffering Rust Belt workers same as they did TO the Wall St. vultures who caused the '08 crash--NOTHING! It was the neolib Clinton admin that did away w/ New Deal era regs that would have prevented '08. When the majority working class lost so many jobs, pensions, homes. Sure, Biden did some good. But the Ds won't win until they forego corporate donations and corporate agendas. Until they fight the rapacious, trickle up econopathy, which is based on little more than anti-New Deal rancor and the wishes of plutocrats. Corporate lite isn't enough. Nor is representing only upper middle class professionals. Nor is asserting alienated working people are stupid; hardly a way to win us back to a party that was once ours.

"Nothing is a lie if they say it is true" and nothing is wrong if they do it! Thank you, 6 SCOTUS shills.

The thing is, vile, abusive behavior on the part of wealthy business owners is nothing new. It's a many times repeated behavior set from the wealthy. History is usually told and written by the powers that be, not the regular people. When it is written by, about and for regular people, it includes people working for as little as industry owners can coerce them to work for, nothing if possible, as in slavery. They live in lousy housing, too few rooms, high rents, easy evictions. Safety at work used to be non-existent, workers were injured and killed regularly in coal mines, garment factories, manufacturers generally. In WWI, working class men were sent off, conscripted, to war and, while they were at the front, often their families were evicted from the tiny and terrible place they were renting. Riots ensued, police and the army showed up and quelled riots, sometimes shooting rioters - all to enforce the landlord's rights, not the workers. Now we have historic wealthy inequality and the billionaires have bought the election and are about to install their favorite lying crook and his immoral, incompetent buddies - none of it representative of the rest of the nation and none of them fit to run the government. If the bribery of Thomas seems like a terrible thing, just wait for what's coming.

I suspect none of us is surprised of hypocrisy, cheating and lying. Any possibility they won’t deport their

Workers? But have probably already protected them to keep exploiting them and poor Americans.

I'm a scientist. I read decades ago that corporations would put ads where scientists with the appropriate skills wouldn't see them.

There are programs educating Americans for those jobs. How about Musk donating to those programs to train Americans. Ha ha.

Don and Elon are masters at manipulating the Capitalist form of economics. In this age their mastership makes them god like and the rest of us are molded into serfs and peasants.

You are letting your PARTY get in the way - lets call out all mega rich corporations for using this program's loop hole. Remember 1 snake 2 heads. I am in favor of the original idea - hiring brainiacs at the highest level for the highest level jobs and paying them accordingly. Lets pressure our Government to fix this issue. The idea that Americans are unable to do these high level jobs just calls into question - what is happening to our children. Could it be the fluoride in the water which has been shown to lower IQ, is it all the poisons in our food causing inflammation - resulting in who knows what in our children's little growing bodies and brains, remember those big food manufactures only care about selling products - i do not call them food. They have chemicals in the products in America that they do not put in the same product they sell overseas - because our government agencies who are supposed to be looking out for Americans are looking out for the corporations.. Just finally removing 1 toxin - red dye. And now the country is busy removing fluoride which is a waste material. Our government has been busy medicating us with initially waste from the atomic Bimb. Now once our teeth are adult size how does it go about hardening our teeth? how much fluoride can our body handle - where does it put it if not in our teeth which now can get it from the tooth paste (if you happen to use fluoride tooth paste - read the label which warns against swallowing it!!!!! Oh maybe it displaces other need material in our bones? lots of hip, knee, shoulder replacements now - In your arteries - again hardening of the arteries, and possibly in your brain. Food (?) for thought.

Thank you.

There are still plenty of brilliant young and middle-aged people in America. But we do have problems with public education that are far greater than anything posed by fluoride. Look at who was Secy of Education in Trump's first term!
