Thanks for the update! Every now and then good does win.

"Why fight against overpowering odds for 40 years? Because of her strong principles...and sheer stubbornness."

Well now, Jim, that's true of you, too. Seems there are also Texas families of a deeply rooted heritage of caring for the common good connected by lineages of the heart and not just of blood.

We have been working to turn the Mountain Valley Pipeline into an utilities access for remote mountain estates and to give this life supporting habitat back to the Counties Have this boondoggle government money sink hole by Equitrans stopped from transporting the natural gas and destroying our Federal Lands and our unchlorinated water by dumping the fracking fluids, used in the Hydraulic Fracturing for Natural Gas Extraction Process, into the Earth's aquifer. We did win in the Fourth Circuit Court when Judge Wynn's ruled to preserve the life supporting habitat that the Greenbrier River is. Then U.S. Supreme Court Judge Roberts over ruled the lower court decision and former U.S. Senator Manchin I-WV pushed the MVP, already way over budget, by threatening to shut down the economy of the U. S A. if the President didn't withdraw his veto of the and guarantee it's completion, and damn the climate of the planet. S.C.O.T.U.S. has made a mockery of the Court System of the United States and giving us our first felon president is the absolute proof of it. Water For Life, Ban Fracking Now!

The simplicity and power of the quote in the last sentence of the article: “It’s my home,” Wilson says of the bay and its working-class community, “and I completely refuse to give it to that company to ruin.”

I felt empowered by the 1/06/2025 U.S.Presidential protection of over 625million acres of U.S. Coastline from fossil fuel industry extraction development. I thought that it was interesting that when the bidding for extraction development leases was opened up, there were no bidders.

I hope the courts will hold during Trump 2.0. Not every justice-oriented judge will rule in opposition to Trump's will. It will require a lot of courage to do so. His initial militia just got out of jail free, and "shooting liberals" is something some of them have wanted to do since 1/6/2021. Those militia members will attract others, now that it's clear that there's carte blanche on vigilante behavior. I would love to be wrong.

I’m amazed! I moved to Port Lavaca in 2021, never having heard of Formosa’s pollution of the bay, and haven’t heard of this lady and her courageous campaign. I wonder, is this a reason the locals are sort of stand-offish, and closed to outsiders and newcomers? Possibly, this pollution accounts for the apparent slow death and decline of business in this area?

I’m going to try to find this lady, and learn more about the history of this area that I’ve chosen as my retirement home. I want to shake the hand of a true-life patriot and warrior.
