I have always been amazed out how Texans went from Ann Richards to "Dubbya" and then proceeded to elect dumber and dumber governors who cared nothing about the people of Texas but only corporations and enriching themselves. I hope this is the beginning of intelligent leaders who represent the people returning to Texas and national government.
Worked with Kendal during his time in Huntsville when he was enrolled in SHSU. He is a dedicated worker with great organization and people skills. The last State Chairman was so bland and unmotivated that I started to challenge him for his post myself. Kendal is a natural choice to bring enthusiasm and energy back into the position.
I am a progressive independent who votes mostly for Democratic Party candidates. But I need an outline of how "grassroots organizing and party-building" would work in a Congressional District like the one represented by Chip Roy. The strongest Democratic center of his district is in Hays County, where I live. Can you provide a solid example of your ideas in more concrete deetail.
Let’s hope Kendal can pull this off. Democrats have an uphill battle to regain control of congress and the White House. The obscene amount of money in politics now pushes candidates to court money for their campaigns thus the tendency to shun the “little guy” that makes up the majority of the population. Thank you Citizens United!
I was appalled in 2024 by the number of offices that there were no Democratic Party Candidates running and how many known Republicans were running unopposed on the Democrats ballot
I absolutley agree that Kendall Scudder would be a great Texas Democratic Party Chair. He is genuinely committed to engaging with all Texans and getting them involved in the democratic process. He is smart and savvy, knows how to affect change, and could make the Democratic Party successful again.
If the Lord had meant for us to vote, 'e would have given us candidates worth voting for. I would support several in West Virginia if they would give it another go to build a constituency
Other states should do the same. Each state should work to bring back the grassroots voting system. Democrat leaders have to work with local groups to make it solid.
I'm appalled at the Democrat Party in general. The last time i voted for ANY Republican was in the Nixon era(of which I'm deeply ashamed). But, I've noticed that starting with the Obama era, the DNC has been a club of elites. To me the only accomplishment during that time is Obamacare, and let's face it, it wasn't much to write home about. Since then it's bee one broken promise after another. Even "the Squad" got no support from National Democrats. I'll go on voting for Democrats until a viable alternative shows up.
And, as far as that goes, Kinky Friedman got my wholehearted support but what did that do for Texas?
West Virginia State Legislature too has a totally Republican Super Majority that has pushed the Mountain Valley Pipeline and other fossil fuel extraction through with an eighty percent vote for the ' state of urgency '. Money is a moving paper fantasy that only has value because people believe in it. It was originally invented as a tool to allow travelers to have something to exchange for food and lodging, not intended to be the desired end result. "That's the way the money goes, POP goes the weasel"
That grassroots strategy is something Democrats need to implement in every state. As DNC chair, this strategy proved successful. Then after Obama's election it was pretty much abandoned for big money donors, AKA Republican lite.

Im very glad for leaders like him, Im am very afraid for our country's freedom. the next 4 years will be nothing but a maga maggot shit show
Every State needs to empower the grass roots little d's and find candidates that we can support.

Watching 'O Brother Where Art Thou?' with George Clooney
Wasn't Adolf Hitler a convicted felon ?
Your comment's about Democratic building could apply to all states, especially in PA where Republicans have long bamboozled our rural populations.

I heard that our current U.S. President has been grabbing up big numbers of a new internet fantasy currency called ' bit coin'? 'Butt Coin?
So perhaps not use the same consultants year after year? New life desperately needed.
