Almost want to enroll in that math class. I really want to know how a math teacher will calculate the story in Matthew 14:13–21, Mark 6:31–44, Luke 9:12–17, and John 6:1–14. (How, exactly, did those five loaves and two fish (or "fishes" in the King James Version) feed 5,000?)

Love the idea!

Maybe they were sardines, with God all things are possible and some things have to be believed to be seen,. Religions try to make everyone believe whatever interpretation the Lords want. Nature is the Art of God. Life is a gift from God

We hear it ALL THE TIME from politicians "the American people" this, "the American people" that.... Mike Johnson used it yesterday, when a MAJORITY! of the American People do NOT agree with him! That is another reason that a voter should be very careful and thoughtful about who they vote for. Is this a politician who just spews "the American people" BS OR do they really listen, do they really act on behalf of "the American people" OR do they serve something else - like wealthy donors and wealthy corporations......... and it is all just one big con to get elected and then turn their back on "the American people"!

I think the subject of Ryan Walters et al warranted their own article. Christian nationalists are a threat to the separation of church and state.

Oklahoma isn't well-known for sane or even stable government -- for example, 2 of the first 7 governors (after statehood in 1907) were impeached. In 1921, one of them prorogued the lege and declared martial law to try and forestall impeachment -- the lege was majority KKK but that wasn't the issue. He was being impeached (somewhat legitimately) for corruption, which included demanding a $200k salary.

Just as in the other red states, those elites are used to speaking for everybody (at least for white people -- they ignore and silence the rest one way or another, especially in places like Oklahoma, where there's a large Native population.) I am so weary of it -- really hoping that Kamala not only wins, but has very, very long coat-tails...

Elites in corporations do the same. The waste is staggering and why inertia prevails.

If these corrupt, greedy "big shots" actually looked around and listened to real people, they might be very uncomfortable. Can't have that, can we? No, better to wheel and deal secretly, using bigshot words that make no sense. And, of course, it's all for "The American People", whether we like it or not.

And what happened to "freedom of religion"? There again, if those hyper-Christians truly read the Bible, they would see themselves described as "vipers" (John the Baptist) and "hypocrites" (Jesus). Who will save us from these people who want to save us?? Keep bringing it on, Jim!

Having spent around 45 years of my life in and around Philadelphia PA , I am aware of the history of what religious groups were around at the inception of the country. Pennsylvania ( Latin for Penn's Woods) had various flavors of Christians, Jews and Muslim groups from its inception. One of the reason people left or were booted from their origin countries was religion. Don't supposedly we United States have a separation of Church and State for that very reason. One faith or no faith does not work for all. E Pluribus Unam 'Out of many One'.

CEO's are a bunch of boneheads. Without their workers, they are nothing. How about addressing how the media is treating the previous president with kid gloves and glossing over his stupidity and incoherent ramblings - and they also continue sanitize his ramblings.

Ryan Walters is one of those wannabe dictators, make no mistake. Some steps have been taken to possibly "impeach" him. Why anyone would vote for a candidate who wants to build a new age aristocracy to rule it over us all is beyond comprehension. I'm using my "nice" voice today.

Re: Christianity in math. It could have its uses. Children could learn what an ell is; they could learn about Julian and Gregorian calendars, and where the former is still in use. They could learn to calculate the difference between the two. Then they could learn about the Aztec calendar, and the Egyptian calendar, and.........

Sad to say, Ryan Walters was elected by the people of Oklahoma.

I am not surprised by the "blindness" of the so-called elites when it comes to the affairs of the average person. It explains so much that goes wrong. dickg

Too many business schools from the 50's which were modeled after the Military and Autocracies; the schools have produced leaders that look up. Their attitude is that the sheep (everyone else) will look up. They see all institutions as a pyramid.

IMHO, Politics and education is more of a inverse pyramid; bosses supporting the workers, leaders supporting the electorate.

Aside: SCOTUS sees their role that way and inbent stupid theories to support their POV.
